Options and choices · Selling
Made to order, without a second catalogue.
Groups of choices shared across products — how many must be picked, how many may be, and what each one adds.
What you get
A group like “Add-ons” belongs to every sandwich. Edit it once and every product carrying it moves, which is the point.
Before changing a price, you can see exactly which products the group is on.
Minimum and maximum choices are enforced where the order is taken — at the counter, on the website and at the kiosk alike.
A choice that costs money carries its own price, capped so a mistyped surcharge cannot add a fortune.
The choices reach the kitchen screen with the order, which is the only reason recording them is worth anything.
How it runs
A sandwich, start to finish.
- 1
A group of choices is written once — bread, then add-ons, pick up to three.
- 2
It is attached to every sandwich on the menu.
- 3
An order comes in from the counter, the website or a kiosk, and the choices are checked where it is taken.
- 4
The ticket reaches the kitchen with the choices on it, priced into the same sale.

Comes with these trades by default.
Say you run one of these at signup and this is already on when you first sign in — nothing to find and switch.
The questions people ask
- If we change a group, what else changes?
- Every product carrying it — which is why you can see that list before you save. Shared groups are the feature; a surprise is not.
- Do options work online?
- Yes. The same groups, the same minimums and maximums, the same prices, on the website and the kiosk as at the counter.
